Q.What is the course fee for the five-day speech course, the stammering course notes and the DVD?

A. The course fee is £450 and when booking a course I require a £100 deposit.

The stammering course notes are $43.00 or £25.00 as either an electronic e-book or in paper format.

The DVD is available for $94.00 US Or £55.00

Q. Are you able to offer shorter courses, as I am unable to be away from my home environment for a five-day period?

A. For people who purchase the stammering course notes or DVD I offer an additional back up of a three day shortened course. This might be the answer for you.

Q. What method do you use?

A. I achieved fluency by concentrating on how fluent people spoke. Therefore my method is speaking, thinking, and breathing how fluent people do.

I do not use:

costal breathing

slowed speech

prolonged speech

Q. I have heard there is no cure for stammering what makes your course different?

A. I also read and was told that, but could not believe it as at times I spoke well. From overcoming a stammer myself I can now say that it can be overcome and the course teaches the techniques I used.

Q. How severe was your stammer?

A. The severity of my stammer depended on the situation. At times I could speak well but at other times found it hard to say anything. The more pressure or anxious I was under the more I seemed to stammer. Of all of the speaking situations I found making phone calls and presentations the most difficult.

Q. What is your success rate?

A. I would love to be able to report 95-100% success, however I believe it is more like 85%. To achieve fluency takes a lot of hard work and practice, unfortunately not all of my clients seem willing to put this effort in. They come hoping for a magic pill. On one course, I had explained to my client about the amount and types of work I had used to overcome the stammer and he said:

“You can’t expect me to put in that amount of work”.

I replied:

“You can’t expect to achieve fluency then”.

Q. Am I able to come and meet you before booking a course.

A. I am happy to people for a free non-obligatory introductory meeting.

Q. I live a long way away from Birmingham. Are you able to recommend a local hotel?

A. On receipt of the £100 deposit I send a letter of confirmation including directions, course times and recommended hotels etc.

Q. Do you offer additional back up after the course has finished?

A. I know how hard it is to have a stammer and do everything I can to help people achieve fluency during and after the course. My clients are able to regularly communicate with me after the course via e-mail or telephone.
